My dad just told me he has it,what would be the best way to get rid of it.

Same as any other cancer: chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery. I hope it all works out okay.

Aloha, PCa has many starting conditions. It can be very slow growing - which does not need treatment or it can be aggressive, very fast growing - which needs to be treated within a few months. Do you know what your fathers starting conditions are; Stage, How many biopsy cores, Gleason, PSA, freePSA, DRE results, PSA velocity ... all these are important. For example a pathologist reads the biopsy cores. You should get a second opinion from a different pathologist to verify that the first reading can be duplicated.
