Prostate Cancer

prostate cancer?
my grandfather has just been diagnosed with prostate cancer. its on both sides and is the aggressive type. can it be treated and how long does he have to live?

My friends dad was also dxed with this, and they treated him for like 3 months. It took 8 treatments of some kind. The cancer is gone. Hes doing fine now.

It depends on whether or not it has spread beyond the prostate. If it has spread, the prognosis is generally negative. It can be treated with radiation, but not cured at this point. Life expectancies vary, a little as 6 months to several years. If the cancer is still within the prostate and not spread treatment (prostatectomy)is much more effective and more than likely your grandfather will die from something else.
