Depends on the treatment he had for prostate cancer. If he had radiation it can be a side affect of the radiation. If he had cryo surgery or the prostate removed I'm not sure but the burning urination ought to go away in a couple weeks at most. As for the loose bowels he might have to contact his doctor since I never had any problems with my bowels after prostate radiation treatment.

If you are in recovery of prostate cancer, and are under chemotherapy, radiation therapy or under some other therapy, that will be an explanation. Cancer metastasis is also a possible cause. Other co-diseases or co-infections may explain these symptoms. Pay visit to oncologist to identify the culprit and relieve the symptoms.
