Grandpa's prostate cancer spread to his hips and back, but they still call it prostate cancer. Isn't it bone?
In other words, they removed his prostate and now it spread to his bones. Why isn't it called bone cancer instead of prostate cancer? Can anyone give me some details on this cancer he has? Thanks! And God Bless!

Because it isnâ€™t bone cancer. If it was it would have started in his bones and as you said his prostate cancer spread to his bones, which is the most common site for prostate cancer to spread to. Bone cancer and prostate cancer are two different diseases and they do not change into another disease because it has spread to another site.

Each cancer is named by the tissue type or cell type of origin. It can spread somewhere else, such as prostate cancer going to bones or lung cancer going to liver, but that doesn't change the biology of the cell type. It also doesn't change what treatments are likely to be effective. Prostate cancer in the bones is treated differently than primary bone cancer or kidney cancer that has metastasized (spread) to bone.

links between a vasectomy and prostate cancer?
does having a vasectomy possibly affect the development of prostate cancer? any websites/data would be helpful :)

none at all they have prove it doesn't.

The two are not connected. When doing a vasectomy they are nowhere near the prostate and if a man ejaculates sperm or not does not effect the prostate one way or another.

Many churches start said rumors as vasectomies are deemed immoral, so they will do anything to scare men away from them. About half the men in the USA get a vasectomy in their 40's. Most men with prostate cancer are 50+. It stands to reason that some overlap may occur. But this has nothing to do with the surgery. Some other people tried to claim that vasectomies lead to hair loss. Again half of men in the USA, over 40 have vasectomies. Most men over 40 also have hair loss. Again, there is no connection. Age skews the results.

how much will it cost if a person undergo into a calypso prostate cancer treatment

how much will it cost if a person undergo into a calypso prostate cancer treatment?
it could probably in general amount,, the cost of the treatment itself. and is it really a recommended option for those who was diagnosed with that cancer? if not what are the other best solution for a person to recover.

You wouldnâ€™t expect to pay the same price for a house in Iowa as you would in Malibu. Medical treatment is the same; it depends on where you live. Usually teaching hospitals are more expensive than non-teaching hospitals though. Calypso is a recommended option, but there are so many options for prostate cancer and so many variables to consider there isnâ€™t a best option for all. If you are not sure about which option to choose try getting another opinion from another oncologist.
