Do any of you women care about the 27,000 men who died in America last year from prostate cancer?
Do any of you care about them?? Do any of you care about all the men who are going to get prostate cancer?? People only seem to care about breast cancer, no one cares about all the men who die from this cancer.

I know! It's terrible. There is limited coverage as well, I think. I'm a woman who briefly volunteered for the Breast Cancer Foundation but all I do is eat muesli that supports prostate cancer. :/

Wow wtf, that's so harsh, I know a lot of women who have lost husbands, fathers and sons to prostate cancer so don't you dare think you can turn around and make such an ignorant and completely uninformed statement. You absoloute IDIOT.

First you are ranting. Second of course we care. I am pretty sure that out of the 27000 men that died that they had sisters, mother and daughters. The thing about breast cancer is that it affects more women (40170 die a year, 192000 get invasive breast cancer). The other thing about it is that there haven't been many male celebrities to come out and talk about it. So there isn't a "face" of prostate cancer. But there are so many women celebrities that have come out about breast cancer. It's the question of pride...It doesn't matter how much care all the person in the world would give to those poor souls who passed away due to prostate cancer if they wouldn't give themselves in to the medical experts to be treated or even just diagnosed in the first place???...In this male dominated world, giving yourself voluntarily to a hospital for check up would mean a decreased machismo...It's something to do with pride buddy...Many prostate cancer victims die because of lack of medical attention, or, waiting for the disease to advance until they could bear it no more before going to the hospital for medication...Too late...Sad but true...

It is funny how angry women get when you try to take the spotlight on their diseases. Turn on the tv and the only disease you hear about is STD's, Breast cancer and HPV and they still get mad when you ask a question wondering where our notice is.

Society in general is hostile towards men. We are viewed as disposable, second-class citizens in the eyes of the law, and government spending on women's interest/health issues proves this. And although most medical discoveries are made by men, men seem reluctant to help other men. Thanks to the women's rights movement, you will never see a program- aside from funds set aside for more prisons to house us- that is specifically for men's health/interests. No, such programs would be considered sexist and discriminatory.
