Have him try Vitamin E

nothing proven scientifically, but try berries like blueberries etc, pomegranates, broccoli, spinach, tomatoes and peppers.

Vitamin E and K

Apparently tomatoes but they must be cooked as they then produce lycopene which helps prevent prostate cancer, dont know about reducing it though, but all tomatoe based sauces , ketchup are good cancer fighting foods.

The main two foods which have been shown to help against prostate cancer are cranberry and tomatoes (cooked; raw tomatoes have been shown to promote the growth of some tumor types in vitro). All cancer-fighting foods, ie japanese green tea, berries, pomegranate, probiotics (kefir, russian-style yogurt, is a great probiotic), brocoli, turmeric, ginger, ect. in a reasonnable healthy diet are also a good idea.
