My mate has prostate cancer he says her is feeling fine - he had it for 6 months now and he is not doing any treatment or operation - Any one had any dealings with this, how long will he last he is not doing any operation, but he is using alternate treatments - how long six months ??

Your friend should have his prostate removed, if indeed there is cancer present. All of the cancer could probably be removed at the time of surgery, and the cancer would be gone, thus your friend would have a normal life expectancy.

You are giving us nothing to work with here, so there is no way to answer you. Many men do nothing for years after diagnosis and alternative treatments is doing nothing, it is referred to a “watchful waiting†and is perfectly acceptable in many situations. Prostate cancer is often a slow growing cancer and these men die with their cancer rather than from it. However, if he is a younger man with a moderate to high grade cancer that is a different story.
