Well, is their food intake up after they've stopped treatment? If it's not, it should be. Foods that are good for the prostate are White Gourd (a.k.a. Winter Melon), Azuki Beans (a nice dessert for a male to try would be YÅkan), tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, garlic, and Vitamin C-Rich foods. Also, up this person's fish intake.

We are are all variable so answering your question without any background info is just asking for people to guess. Has it metastasized, what kind of treatment was he getting, why did he stop? There is shot he can take to basically lock it in place, look up Trelstar. I caught a thing on the radio last night while driving home... Statin drugs block testosterone production, have him start taking them, it will lower his cholesterol and testosterone. Don't search for any studies on this because there probably aren't any, I came up with with the idea today. It may not work but what does he have to lose?

On Mother's Day, many men wore pink ribbons to support the fight and research against breast cancer. Many men marched in breast cancer research funding walks and parades. In fact, the Major League Baseball players (all men) used pink bats and wore pink armbands in the games on Mother's Day to support this very same cause. Now, how many women will be wearing prostate cancer ribbons for Father's Day? Let me take an educated guess based on previous patterns, and say: "nowhere near as many men that wore breast cancer awareness ribbons." Further evidence that women today are far more sexist than men. Let me also state that there is roughly the same amount of reported cases of prostate cancer per year as there is breast cancer cases (slightly over 200,000 for each) -- the number difference between the two diseases only being a few thousand. Just because it has a ribbon doesn't mean that people are as aware of it as they are things such as AIDS and Breast Cancer. They are "advertised" every which way you look. Television, magazines, and even food and clothing products. Maybe if it got put out there more this wouldn't be an issue. Someone needs to take it and run like they did with these others. They are all tragic and it is sad that some diseases don't appear as important as others. I would wear one if I had it.
