Is it true masturbating will prevent prostate cancer

Is it true masturbating will prevent prostate cancer?
I heard keeping the juices flowing will prevent it.

It is a fact that in older men it is good to clean the pipes a few times a week.
2 :
It can but if you have a long family history involving prostate cancer then you can still get it.
3 :
it probably can because during ejaculation the body cleans out the penis so t probably could.but there will always be a chance of geting it
4 :
I don't know if that is true, but masturbation sheds the old sperms. A load rich in young sperms is more proficient in fertilizing an egg.
5 :
I believe so
6 :
Not just masturbating. Ejaculating no matter how so sex works to. It apparently keeps the pipes clean a working prostate is a happy prostate.
7 :
Check for Lawrence I. Sank’s Traumatic Mastaburatory Syndrome –also check the website healthystrokes . com more frequency will lead to tiredness, lethargy, loss of memory and later to premature ejacuation, prostate problems and premature ejaculation
8 :
A poster above incorrectly describes the web site HealthyStrokes.com, which I author. It is a very pro-masturbation web site. To answer your question, a team of doctors led by Dr. Graham Giles queried a group of men with prostate cancer and an age-matched group of men without it about their sexual habits over their lives and discovered that males who ejaculated most frequently in their 20s had the least incidence of prostate cancer later. Dr. Giles recommends that younger males masturbate at least six times a week. G.G. Giles, G. Severi, D.R. English, M.R.E. McCredie, R. Borland, P. Boyle, J.L. Hopper (2003) Sexual factors and prostate cancer BJU International 92 (3) , 211–216
9 :
it doesnt prevent it but it lowers your risk of getting it.

Prostate Cancer Treatments For Early And Advanced Prostate Cancer http://www.beating-cancer-gently.com/    There is a wide range of prostate cancer treatments available today for both early and late stage prostate cancer and this article outlines the choices open to patients. There is a wide range of prostate cancer treatments available today and the treatment that your doctor recommends will depend to a very large extent upon the progression of the disease. Thereafter it is a matter of discussing each treatment option with your doctor and of considering the advantages and disadvantages of each, as well as of course looking carefully at the risks which all prostate cancer treatments carry. Prostrate cancer treatments fall into two broad categories - those that are recommended for early (Stage I and Stage II) cancer which is confined to the prostate gland and those used to treat advanced (Stage III and Stage IV) cancer which has spread to other areas of the body. Early stage cancer treatments are designed to remove the prostate or to destroy it and thus to stop the cancer cells before they have a chance to spread to other areas of the body. http://www.cancertruth.info/ The surgical removal of the prostate gland (prostatectomy) will normally be carried out as either traditional open surgery or using a less invasive laparoscopic approach. One recent development is the introduction of robotic surgery (using the da Vinci system) which has the advantage of preserving nerves, muscles and other structures in the area of the prostate. Robotic surgery is extremely effective but should be carried out by a highly skilled surgeon in a centre with considerable experience in using this technique. Radiation therapy may also be used to kill the cancer cells within the prostate gland. A variety of different radiation therapy techniques may be used and treatment will normally be carried out over a period of several weeks. A relatively new technique, which is still being evaluated, is known as cryosurgery. During cryosurgery, which is carried out under anesthesia, cooling probes are guided into the prostate using ultrasound and the cancer cells are killed by freezing them. The final form of treatment used for early stage cancer is high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). This procedure is again carried out under anesthesia (or using a local spinal anesthetic) and a probe is placed into the prostate gland through the rectum. A beam of high intensity focused ultrasound is them used to raise the temperature in the area of focus and thus to kill the cancer cells. For late stage prostate cancer hormone therapy is used and this is designed not to attack the cancer itself but to target the male hormones (in particular testosterone) which the cancer cells need to grow. Late stage treatments will include orchiectomy (the removal of the testicles), which is designed to remove the source of the body's main production of testosterone, or a variety of hormone treatments aimed at either reducing the level of testosterone and other male hormones in the body or of blocking their action. In cases where hormone therapy proves ineffective, systematic radiation therapy or chemotherapy may be recommended. Whatever the stage of your cancer it is important to consider all of the options carefully and weigh the advantages, disadvantages and risks of each carefully before choosing the treatment that is best for you. Prostate cancer was not "discovered". As long as there were people, there was cancer. When autopsy became a specialty (or when people became curious & cut everybody up) they began to find irregular growths on different organs." Discovered " is a strange word to use. Look up prostate cancer for further info if this is a medical project.

How do you get prostate cancer

how do you get prostate cancer?
how do you get prostate cancer?

Causes of prostate cancer The cause of prostate cancer isn't fully understood at present, but you are more likely to develop prostate cancer if: * you're over 50 * you have close relatives who have had prostate cancer * several women in your family have had breast cancer - you may have inherited a faulty gene which may increase your risk of prostate cancer * you're African-Caribbean or African-American * your diet is high in fat * you're overweight
2 :
Causes of prostate cancer Although the causes of prostate cancer are unknown, there are some factors that are known to increase a man’s chance of developing the disease. Age is the most important risk factor for prostate cancer. A man’s risk factor for developing prostate cancer is also higher if a close relative such as a father or brother has had the disease. Diet may also be an influencing factor in the development of prostate cancer. A diet high in animal fat (including dairy products) and low in fresh fruit and vegetables may increase the risk of prostate cancer. Symptoms There are many symptoms of prostate cancer. These symptoms are also very common in men who may have an enlargement of the prostate gland. This often occurs when men get older. If the prostate becomes so large that it presses on the urethra, problems with passing urine can occur. This is most commonly caused by benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). Benign means non-cancerous and hyperplasia means that it gets bigger. Sometimes however the growth, which obstructs the urethra, can be malignant or cancerous. Symptoms may include: Finding it hard or difficult to urinate Passing urine more frequently than usual Blood in the urine Pain when passing urine. If you have any of the above symptoms it is important that you have them checked by your doctor. But please remember that most enlargements of the prostate will not be cancer.

The John B answer is a very good one and so even I gave him a thumbs up vote. However he left out another potential cause that is rapidly being accepted ast a stong candidate to this problem. The production of semen is a complex one and there is evidence that not flushing out our supply through continued mastubation can significantly raise the risk. For instance the DNA in sperm represents only half of our DNA structure so the body would naturally kill them on sight. The immune system turns on our own body in a sense. Nature supplied sperm with a helper cell that fools the immune system into thinking its a complete structure. But these cells have a short life and soon the sperm are left to fend for themselves. Females flush their egg every 28 day in period. This is automatic for them. Males mastubate to do this same task. The task is vital to good health, and not doing this enough is thought to increase the risk of trouble there. Some males because of religious or social objections fail in their task of getting this out. Like spoiled milk in the fridge its not a good thing. This should be added to what John b has stated as his response is correct.
4 :
You get it the same way you get any cancer - a cell's genome is damaged causing it to express genes it shouldn't, causing it to reproduce uncontrollably. Major causes of genome damage include radiation and free radicals as well as carcinogenic chemicals like benzene (found in tobacco). Most of the time, cancerous cells are picked up and destroyed by the immune system. A compromised immune system can therefore increase the risk of cancer. Prostate cancer is like breast cancer though, there are genes that can cause one to be more susceptible to it.

Why prostate cancer is more prevalent in blacks than whites

why prostate cancer is more prevalent in blacks than whites?
I have found that prostate cancer is predominate in blacks not because of their skin color, but relative to the physical wrok done as slaves. Most balcks are natural built with more muscle mass than whites and the prostate cancer rate can be traced to the deterioration of muscle mass over a period of time. Other factors include weight gain and the increase of the human life span with respect to sexuality. There is a relationship between sexual aggression and the loss of muscle mass and prostate cancer this also is demonstrated with people have sexual impotency problem having a low prostate cancer rate. Also people using steriods will have a high prostate cancer rate because of the relative decrease in muscle mass.

A lot of diseases are more prevalent in blacks. It is just the nature of things. Your theory is hogwash.
2 :
Interesting thoughts, but here are some more likely possibilities: 1) Simple genetics has a lot to do with prostate cancer. Regardless of race, you are more likely to have it if a close relative (father or brother) has it. This may explain nearly all ethnic variance in PCa. 2) Vitamin D deficiency has been suggested as a possible contributor. Internal production of vitamin D is corellated to melatonin. 3) Diet has a great deal to do with it. High fat diet, red meats, all have positive corellation. 4) Higher poverty rate, which implies less access to health care. 5) PCa isn't related to muscle mass or potency, but is related to testosterone level. I don't know of any studies on relative testosterone levels by race.

What race has the highest rates of prostate cancer

What race has the highest rates of prostate cancer?

Cancer - 4 Answers

white men
2 :
There is in fact a striking link to ethnicity - so much so that it is listed among the risk factors for prostate cancer. In the UK, black Caribbean and African men have approximately two to three times the risk of being diagnosed or dying from prostate cancer than white men, while Asian men generally have a lower risk than average risk. Similarly, in the US black men have higher rates than white men; in fact the highest recorded rates in the world, while Asian American men have much lower rates.
3 :
The highest risk for developing prostate cancer is in Sweden. The US and Japanese men who migrated here have an intermediate risk. The lowest risk is in Taiwan and Japan. Black men are afflicted 30% more often than white men.
4 :
You should definitely ask a doctor on this issue. Check out the site below, it's definitely something you should read!

Does too much Masturbation cause prostate cancer/problems

Does too much Masturbation cause prostate cancer/problems?
I know a little bit actually helps a mans prostate but does too much of it damage it or cause prostate cancer or other problems later in life. If you think about it so many ageing men have it

That is like saying breathing air causes breast cancer after all so many aging women do it. No mastrubation will not harm your prostrate at all. ~J
2 :
Research has yet to prove that masturbation is harmful to your health. Yes, sometimes men do stupid things and use objects, or use too much force, and injure themselves while masturbating, but masturbation will not cause cancer and most likely does not cause any other problems. I think if all men were to suddenly stop masturbating, and only get pleasure strictly from sex, you would not find a decline in the rates of cancers, or other illnesses. It just wouldn't make sense. I don't think any scientist will ever, ever, ever prove that masturbation causes any of us any serious harm, or increase risks of disease.
3 :
I HOPE NOT I LITERALLY MASTYRBATE ABOUT 15 15 TIMES
4 :
It's true that prostate problems usually affect men in later life, but this is not as a result of excessive masturbation. In fact, recent studies show that young men who masturbate at least five times a week are less likely to develop prostate problems in later life.
5 :
I think you will be alright as long as you refrain from doing it with Bill Clinton. ( watch out for smoking cubans*).* cigars that is.
6 :
you could have a yeast infection... http://www.yeastinfection.org
7 :
I'm 71 years old and believe masturbation doesn't harm a man's prostrate so keep doing it all you want to man.
8 :
Quit the contrary. Masturbation promotes good health for the prostate. You need to ejaculate 5 to 7 times a week now at your young age and most of your life for good prostate health.
9 :
No, I am sure about it..And, isnt 'it' healthy??
